Claude Cowork is brilliant until your workspace fills up. The clutter reloads every session and eats the tokens you needed for real work.
Cowork OS is eleven small skills that run and tidy the workspace for you. It loads only what each task needs, keeps your memory lean, files your notes and correspondence where they belong, sets up new projects and reminders, pressure-tests your decisions before you commit, and learns how you work as it goes.

It never changes or deletes anything without your say-so, and it backs up before it replaces a file. I built it for my own workspace, then took my own data out so anyone can run it.
One expectation to set before you download it: Cowork OS is a quiet background layer, not a tool that does your work. It will not write your emails or build your slides, and nothing flashy happens on day one. The payoff builds as you use Cowork for real work.
Keep it as a .zip. Do not unzip or rename the file you download; Cowork accepts only the .zip.
How to install and start
You need Claude Cowork (in the Claude desktop app). From there it takes about a minute.
- Download the zip above and save it anywhere on your computer.
- In Claude Cowork, open Customize in the left menu. Choose Add plugin, then Create plugin, then Upload plugin, and select the zip.
- Open a new chat and take the tour. Type what does the Cowork OS plugin do to see what you now have. It changes nothing.
- Run setup. Type optimise my workspace. It checks what you already have, adds only what is missing and asks before adding anything.
- Bring it real work. Ask Cowork to plan your week, and type remember this when something matters. In your next chat, it is already known.
